The Motorola Edge 40 costs Rs 29,999 for a single variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Motorola has officially launched the Motorola Edge 40 in India, after the launch of a pair of low-cost Moto G-series phones. The phone is being marketed as the "world's slimmest 5G smartphone with an IP68" grade. The Edge 40 is also the first phone in the segment to use MediaTek Dimensity's 8020 SoC and the first to provide wireless charging. Despite several promises about being the first phone, the most appealing aspect is the price. The Edge 40 has 256GB of internal storage and costs less than Rs 30,000.

Motorola Edge 40 specifications
Curved displays are gradually taking over smartphones in the Rs 30,000 price range, and Motorola is betting on this display style as well. While curved displays have their limitations, there is no doubting that they provide a superior finish in general.
Motorola used a pOLED screen, and the 6.5-inch display features a Full-HD resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz. Vegan-finish variations are significantly thicker (7.58mm). The edition with the PMMA finish measures 7.49mm, making it one of the segment's thinnest smartphones. According to Motorola, the Edge 40 supports HDR10+, Amazon HDR, and Netflix HDR playback.
A 50-megapixel main camera with OIS is located on the rear. A 13-megapixel ultrawide camera with macro vision is also included. A 32-megapixel camera is located on the front. Both rear cameras are capable of recording 4K footage at 30 frames per second. The front camera has the same capability. As previously stated, the Motorola Egde 40 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC with 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage and 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM.
The Edge 40 also has 5G, two years of Android upgrades, and a 4400mAh battery with 68W rapid charging. There is also support for 15W quick charging.
